Travel Planning that Fits Your Life

I’m Lauren. A travel advisor, Virtuoso affiliate, European travel expert, and certified travel coach. I take the research, logistics, and second-guessing off your plate so you can spend your time actually looking forward to the trip.

How It Works

Step 1
Complete an Inquiry

Tell me where you want to go, who you’re traveling with, and what you’re hoping to feel when you get there. The more detail, the better. If you’re not sure yet, that’s okay too.

Step 2
We Connect

I’ll reach out to set up a consultation call. This is where I get to know you, ask the questions most advisors skip, and start building a picture of what your perfect trip looks like.

Step 3
I Get to Work

I research, source, and design your trip including hotels, experiences and logistics. You’ll get a customized itinerary and options to review, not a generic package.

Step 4
You Travel

I handle the bookings, confirmations, and any changes that come up before or during your trip. You pack your bags and go.

What I Offer

Hotel Bookings

Complimentary – No Cost

Already know where you want to stay, or need help narrowing it down? I’ll book your hotel at the same rate you’d find online — plus exclusive perks that you can’t get on your own: daily breakfast for two, a property credit (typically $100), room upgrades when available, and flexible check-in/checkout.

This service is always complimentary.

Full Trip Planning

Base rate: $300 per week of travel

For travelers who want everything handled. I design a fully custom itinerary built around your interests, travel style, and what you want to come home with. This includes:

  • Accommodations researched and booked (with perks where available)
  • Flights, if needed
  • Private transfers and ground transportation
  • Tours, activities, and experiences
  • Restaurant recommendations and reservations
  • A detailed digital itinerary with everything in one place
  • On-trip support if anything comes up

Planning fees are non-refundable and due prior to research beginning. Fees vary based on trip complexity, number of travelers, and destinations.

Travel Coaching: From Dream to Departure

Optional add-on to any service: $450

For the traveler who wants more than a great trip. They want a meaningful journey. This is my most intentional offering, and it’s my favorite thing to do.

Dream to Departure adds a coaching layer to the full planning experience. Before I start designing your trip, we spend time on you. This includes what you’re ready for, what you want to feel, what kind of traveler you want to be. Then I plan your trip with all of that in mind. When you get back, we debrief.

What’s included on top of full trip planning:

  • Two 1-hour travel coaching sessions before planning begins (to clarify your goals, travel style, and what you want from this trip)
  • Pre-departure call (1-hour) to make sure you feel ready and excited
  • Post-trip integration session (1-hour) to reflect on your experience and carry it forward

This add-on is $450 on top of the standard planning fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I hire a travel advisor?

Planning a trip on your own means hours of research, conflicting reviews, and a lot of second-guessing. I take all of that off your plate — and bring things you can’t get on your own, like exclusive hotel perks, vetted on-the-ground recommendations, and someone who actually knows you and what you’re looking for. The planning process should feel exciting, not like a second job.

Do you book flights?

Yes. I can book flights as part of a full trip plan or as a standalone service. For international itineraries especially, having flights and accommodations coordinated through one person makes the whole trip run more smoothly.

Will I pay more booking through you?

For hotels, no — most of the time my rates are the same as or better than what you’d find online. The difference is that you also get Virtuoso perks (daily breakfast, a property credit, room upgrades, flexible check-in/checkout) at no extra cost. For full trip planning, a planning fee applies — details are in the Services section above.

What are Virtuoso perks and are they worth it?

Virtuoso is an invitation-only network of luxury travel advisors and hotel partners. When you book a hotel through me, the property knows you’re a Virtuoso guest which means your reservation gets priority attention and a standard set of complimentary perks: daily breakfast for two, a property credit (typically $100), room upgrades when available, and flexible check-in and checkout. Your credit card travel portal can’t offer this. Those bookings are just another number to the hotel.

Can I still get Virtuoso perks if I already booked my hotel?

Sometimes. Send me your confirmation and I’ll reach out to the hotel to see if a takeover booking is possible. It doesn’t work in every case, and it won’t work if the original booking was made with points — but it’s always worth checking.

What kind of trips do you plan?

I specialize in food and culture-forward travel — Europe, Latin America, Japan, and beyond. I also plan adventure trips, solo travel, group travel, and first-time international trips. If you’re not sure whether your trip is a good fit, just reach out.

Do you only work with people planning big, expensive trips?

No. I work with clients across a range of budgets. That said, I work with a small number of clients at a time, so I’m selective about new inquiries. The best fit is someone who values a thoughtful, personalized experience over a transactional one.

How far in advance should I start planning?

For international trips, 4–6 months is ideal — earlier if you’re traveling during peak season or to a high-demand destination. I can work with shorter timelines, but your options narrow and some things simply won’t be available. For hotel-only bookings, I can usually turn things around much faster.

What is Fora Travel?

Fora is my host agency — one of the most respected in the industry. Being affiliated with Fora gives me access to Virtuoso’s hotel consortium, exclusive supplier programs, and a global network of advisors whose firsthand knowledge I can tap into when planning your trip.

What’s a travel coach, and what does that have to do with planning my trip?

I’m a certified travel coach through the Travel Coach Network, which means I approach trip planning differently than most advisors. Before we talk about logistics, I ask about you — where you are in your life, what you’re hoping to feel, what you want to come home with. That conversation shapes everything I design. It’s the difference between a good trip and one that actually means something.

What is Dream to Departure and is it right for me?

You can learn more about my travel coach offering Dream to Departure here.

Do I have to add Dream to Departure, or can I just do standard trip planning?

Standard full trip planning is always available on its own — no coaching required. Dream to Departure is simply an option for clients who want to go deeper. If you’re not sure, we can talk about it when we connect after your inquiry.
